IP Address is a string of numerical digits separated by dot (.) that is unique for each network and it is actually identifies a computer on the location. To get into the more details, location of any computer in the world can be found out with the IP Address.
There are two types of IP Addresses. One is Static IP Address and another is Dynamic IP Address. As the name suggests, static IP Address is a default IP Address assigned to a network device where as Dynamic IP Address is assigned to the computer every time computer enters into the network. According to the requirement, different group of users use the different IP Address category.
Which one amongst both of them to use is always depends on the individual’s preference and more than that, it also depends on their own network requirement. Sometimes, some people do share the internet address to earn the profits from their assigned IP Address server but after a while they do come to know that they themselves are running out of IP addresses.
Due to the fact that server is shared by other IP Address members; the treat of downtime is very common in them. This is amongst the common reasons why people are advised not to share the IP Address. Sometimes, people runs out of the back up when crash occurs due to the shared IP Address and in this condition they run out of the IP Addresses. So, getting a shared IP Address is kind of a risk and if you don’t want to take a risk, it is advisable to search for a single IP Address deal available in the market.
Another disadvantage of shared address comes while dealing against the SPAM. It is possible that the server you are sharing can also have a source of SPAM and it would become difficult for your shared address to fight against it. However, this issue can easily be resolved if you have your own dedicated server. The people who have their own website might not share the IP Address server due to the fact that, a shared IP Address server can bring frequent downtime and it always affects the uptime of the website which is very important. Even though, there are certain website owners that prefers to share the IP Address in order to save some bucks.
